Vintage 1970s Le Corbusier leather sofa from Harrods retro modernist heals

A Le Corbusier leather and chrome sofa. An iconic piece of furniture and one of the finest examples of Bauhaus design.

Dating originally to 1928 this piece dates to the late 1970s\early 1980s. Although not manufactured by Cassina this sofa is a quality item to be expected from a retailer like Harrods. Not to be confused with the poorly manufactured recent Chinese imports. Top quality thick leather with the highest quality tubular chroming. Vintage pieces rarely appear for sale.

Chromed steel frame with a very unusual dark blue leather upholstery. Rare to find in this color. Offered in good original vintage condition. The seat areas are more worn with creasing - please see close up photo.

Superb patina to the leather and the chrome gleans. Not a new sofa by any means but perfect if you want a top quality, vintage Le corbusier piece.
