3 Arthur Wood Vintage Spongeware Kitchen Storage Canister Jars SAXONY Blue White

A rare original set of 3 Arthur Wood'Saxony' pattern kitchen storage jars. Made in the early 1960's they feature a bold blue Spongeware glaze which is unique across each. They are in excellent overall condition for their age with no chips and their original rubber seals. There is some crazing on the bottom of 2 but its only visible on the inside of one, all are clean and free from significant stains. Inspired by 19th century Spongeware which flourished in Scotland during the 1860's, this style is timeless and works well in both a modern or traditional setting.

Very practical larger size that could be used for tea, coffee and sugar but also large enough in a pantry for flour, rice etc. Height: 7.5" tall (with lid) 6" (without). Please study the images carefully as they form part of the description. All my items are'used' unless stated and will have signs of age/use/wear. Please take a moment to look at my other items.
