The McIntosh T3 is an iconic mid-century modern extending dining table designed by Tom Robertson for A. Of Kirkcaldy, Scotland, during the 1960s. Renowned for its solid teak construction, sleek tapered legs, and versatile double-extending leaves, it is a highly sought-after piece of British vintage furniture. Seating Capacity: 6 to 10 people. Unextended (Standard): 160 cm (63 inches) wide, 92 cm deep, 74 cm high.

Single Extension: 197 cm (77.5 inches) wide. Double Extension (Fully Extended): 235 cm (92.5 inches) wide. The table features two cleverly concealed "butterfly" or swivel-up extension leaves.

To expand, you simply pull the two halves of the main tabletop apart, flip or swivel the hidden leaves into place, and push the ends back together. This creates three different length options, making it exceptionally versatile for hosting.

Table in good solid shape. All original finish to the table top. Some marks, scratches and faults to the veneer, see pics, please.

Hasn't beed murdered by over restoration. A LOVELY STYLISH STATEMENT PIECE OF FURNITURE. Very cool to look at. A beautifully designed & crafted table, this vintage item has that stylish retro look to it. These pieces have a beautiful teak grain, warm tones, and rich colours throughout.

Good everyday size but opens out properly when needed. The extension mechanism is smooth and the leafs stores neatly inside. It is of superb quality and is a very useful size.

A mid century British timeless design classic, and this is a lovely example. Solid, sturdy furniture, will last forever..

The same applies to certain items which contain pieces of glass that may not comply with current safety standards and therefore, as with antiques, should not be relied upon to meet current regulatory safely standards. As with most glass products, sensible precautions should be adopted which would include, but is not limited to, never placing hot objects on glass surfaces and understanding that (due to their age) glazed units, glass shelves and surfaces are unlikely to be made from safety glass and will thus have limited strength and weight-loading capacities. We aim to deliver your order in 10 days time frame but we do not use ParcelForce, Evri or other parcel couriers only independent hard working man and van drivers. Our furniture offered for sale is bulky and can not be flat pack and boxed.

No tracking is available as man and van drivers do not offer that option. Established in 1869 in Kirkcaldy, Scotland, by Alexander Henry McIntosh, became renowned for high-quality, mid-century modern teak furniture during the 1950s-1970s.

Famous for Scandinavian-influenced sideboards, dining tables, and chairs, the firm used rich teak veneers and solid teak handles, with popular designs by Tom Robertson, creating iconic pieces that remain highly sought. Origins: Founded in 1869 at Victoria Cabinet Works in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland, the company initially focused on bespoke cabinet work before transitioning to mass-production in the 20th century.

The Teak Era (Mid-Century): While established much earlier, McIntosh's "golden age" for teak was the 1960s and 1970s. They adopted the popular Danish modern aesthetic, but manufactured in Scotland using traditional cabinetmaking skills. Key Designer (Tom Robertson): From 1948 to 1983, Tom Robertson served as head designer, creating iconic pieces such as the Dunvegan sideboard and the popular T3 teak extending dining table. Materials and Style: McIntosh furniture is known for using high-quality Burmese/Malaysian teak, often using veneers for, consistent grain on larger surfaces and solid teak for handles, legs, and frames. Pieces often featured sleek, minimalist lines with elegant, organic-shaped handles.
