Vintage 1950s Yellow kitchen table with drawers, Farmhouse Retro

  

Original vintage kitchen table with drawers. Painted yellow wooden base/legs, original yellow paint with some wear due to age (see photos). Adds to its retro/vintage look. Previous owner has added contrasting paint to the scuffs on the legs to protect the bare wood.

The base could be sanded and repainted to be freshened up. The table has three drawers that go along the depth of the table, they have the original retro rounded handles on the drawer fronts and the original yellow gingham-design drawer lining.

Clean throughout, minor natural wear but very good condition. The wood throughout the table is dry, clean and woodworm free, no mould or staining. The table is also sound and solid/sturdy. It is balanced and because it is real wood it does not bend and can withstand sturdy weight.

Has been well cared for. The table top is varnished wood, with some natural cracks in the wood but no splits. The top is original and has natural wear to it which adds to its charm and history.

It is sturdy and a good everyday table. The rear of the table has two fold-out metal hinges brackets which once would have had an extender wooden section.

The wood for this section is no longer with the table. This could be refurbished and be used as an extendable option for the table. I think the table is oak but may be pine. Lightweight table, easy to lift and move about. Dimensions approx 120cm x 55cm.

The table is designed to go against a wall, it could be used as a kitchen dining table, side table, workbench, or desk. Very retro and highly sought after due to being original vintage furniture.
