Found at our favourite antique fair at Kempton Racecourse was this beautiful G Plan Cabinet from their Fresco collection. Made of teak the unit stands 54cms high, 81cms in length and 45cms in depth. G Plan was a revolution of British mid-century furniture. There is no buzzword for this period that does not relate to their style; Vintage, Retro, Contemporary, Timeless, Charming, Chic. When we bought it, it was in a very good condition.

Of course, and expected, it has a few marks of age, but these are mainly unnoticeable. Once cleaned we added a finish of Canadian Cedar Danish Oil, a very good match of the traditional G Plan colour. A missing door magnet plate has been replaced, see photo. What makes this cabinet different though is inside. A beautiful piece of glass replaces the teak veneer shelf. The glass shelf is 77cms in length and 23cms in depth.

The shelf is adjustable so can be moved to meet your needs. The cabinet is a perfect addition to any home.

Its style makes it multi-functional and can be used as a drinks cabinet, vinyl record storage, TV unit or a sideboard.
