VINTAGE RETRO TEAK SIDEBOARD TV MEDIA UNIT mid century 1960s ELLIOTS of NEWBURY

  

A beautifully designed & crafted sideboard manufactured by Elliots of Newbury in the 1960's with string Danish influence. This large two-tone sideboard has a large storage area with two sliding doors (interior shelves missing) on either side.

Four drawers, the first of which has a cutlery divider. The drawers are slightly tucked inside the cabinet to allow the two doors to slide out.

The side legs are very stylish. Please check dimensions below as this is a large sideboard. CONDITION overall for its age is good, there are of course the usual age related scratches and marks. Few light water spots to top, only noticeable in certain light.

Some marks to the drawer handles. The drawers have a faint fragrance from the old drawer liners / lavender bags. Not at all unpleasant just worth noting. 77 high x 221 wide x 45 deep. The older pieces of furniture are better made, normally by craftsmen and not machines, have more character & if looked after will last many years.

I also love much older pieces, if they are unusual, well made & a great design I will offer them for sale. I like to keep pieces as original as possible & will clean & re oil / wax. I convert some to'Hairpin leg' pieces if they have no legs / ugly legs or missing legs. I do NOT allow customers to arrange their own couier as I cannot accept responsibility for the item in transit.
