They emigrated from Poland to East London at the end of the 19th Century and by the 1920s, when the Art Deco movement was in full swing, built a company founded on their reputation of making custom-made, bespoke furniture, for the rich and powerful of London. Using only the very best materials, they are particularly famous for their innovative use of bleached walnut and their "cloud back" designed chairs and sofas.

Over time, the Epstein Brothers name has become a byword for top quality, art deco, craftsmanship and their work is as sought after today as it has always been. Created by the Epstein brothers, the quality and pedigree of this vintage cocktail cabinet is unmistakable. When this beautiful Drinks Cabinet landed in my lap, there was really only one course of action in terms of its revamp, and that was to stick to its design origins of classy, stylish, elegance. To do otherwise would be to gild the lily.

So, what you see here, is almost exactly as it would have been when it was first built, with its intricate marquetry and beautifully curvy legs. With 2 drawers, a pull-out mirrored tray, a glass shelf, and oodles of storage in the cupboards, there is ample room for all your bottles, glasses, and mixology essentials. It even boasts the original light and flex, although this will need to be brought up to modern safety standards and I'll happily discuss the options for this with you. Investing in a piece of Epstein furniture will not only guarantee you have a little slice of furniture royalty to grace your home, but one that will look good, last several lifetimes, and give you years of pleasure to come. As with most antiques from this era, this cabinet is vintage and will have a few minor marks from a previous life.
