Vintage Retro Ercol Windsor Breakfast Table Mid Century Magazine Rack Blonde 60s

  

This iconic breakfast table design has the useful magazine rack under, and in this blonde colour way, it works in so many interior schemes. The fine sight lines make it perfect for smaller spaces - ideal as a kitchen table - though the outstanding design means it can punch well above its weight in a larger room too. Its size means it can tuck into small spaces and yet still provide a very useful seating area. It measures a fraction under 69cm square, with the top standing 73cm from the floor.

It is in fantastic condition; the English elm top gleams in the light and it is testament to the craftsmen who breathed life into Lucian Ercolanis incredible designs that it remains solid and splendid all these many decades on. How many decades I do not know, though it was highly likely to have been made in the 1960s - this is the 395 design All Purpose Table, Square elm top, spindle rack below, ht 28 3/4 in, w. 27in, dp 27in, made by Ercol between 1957 and 1970.
