English Eclectic Antiques & Unique Interiors. A fantastic antique set of weighting scales. Marked by the maker, Avery. W & T Avery was founded in the 18th century and was established in 1818. Made from cast iron and with an enamel coating in a lovely fan shape.

These types of retro scales were used extensively in Grocers, butchers and fishmongers. They are robust and become iconic decorative pieces and made popular by chef Jamie Oliver. A great period example, perfect to add soul and character to any modern interior. Marks and staining to weigh platform.

Small chip to enamel at top. Shows signs of wear and tear as it is old and has been used, but only adds to its character.
