Vintage Blonde Priory Ercol Style Quaker Oak Drop Leaf Dining Table & Four Hoop Back Kitchen Chairs Dining Suite (Circa 1950 - 1960). This is a fine quality set of vintage oak & beech blonde English Priory Ercol Quaker style drop leaf dining table & four Windsor hoop / stick back kitchen-dining chairs, circa 1950 - 1960, of matching colour and in excellent original condition.

This is a rare Priory dining suite in the fact that it is constructed of oak most suites of this design at this time were constructed of elm. The suite has been professionally French polished by hand in our workshops. The table, features a lovely solid oak oval moulded top, with two drop-leaf ends, boasting wonderful straw-colour and grain configuration, and the drop leaf ends are secured by pull-out supports. The top is raised on four tapering beech block legs.

The table exhibits an attractive clean design, with simple, clean lines and curves. The oak armchairs, which are of a Quaker Windsor design, feature five spindles to the inside of an oval shaped beech moulded back rail, connecting to the seat. The back rail is connected to the saddle shaped elm seat, with shaped arms on turned supports connecting between the back and the side stretchers. The chairs rest on turned beech legs, united by H beech stretchers, which makes them a firm utility chair, ideal for daily use in the kitchen. The table & chairs feature a stunning original straw colour, with fabulous grain configuration visible on the seats and table top.

This furniture set boasts classic country styling; it would be at home in either a traditional or contemporary setting and consumes very little space. This priory dining suite table and chairs feature a straw yellow-brown elm & beech colour. As they boast the original polish, they have a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through the years of care and cleaning they have received. The table & chairs would look superb in the kitchen or dining room. They would certainly grace any home and are a great investment they are extremely functional. The chairs and table have been cleaned, sanded and French polished, by hand, to a professional standard in our workshop. The set retains its original straw yellow-brown colour and patination, which means they boast a stunning colour. There is an old split to one of the seats of the armchairs this has been glued and is now solid in joint.

There are no breaks to the backs or legs of the chairs. The chairs and table sit firm on the ground and do not wobble.
