Upcycled Vintage Black and Gold drinks/gin Display Cabinet (glass and wood). Stunning, one of a kind - black and gold leaf/glass/vintage Drinks/Display cabinet. This elegant cabinet was first given several coats of Rustoleum, black satin furniture paint. I then decorated the interior with Champagne gold leaf, creating a mottled effect, the use of gold leaf really add's a warm and lustre to the design of this piece.

I used the same process to enhance the details such as the beading and the base of the legs of the cabinet. This decorative effect really does look gorgeous especially when it catches the light. The cabinet was then given several coats of matt varnish for added protection and finally several coats of finishing wax were worked in to wood area to give a soft subtle sheen.

Having both front and side glass panels really allows the gold leaf to shine giving it a real sense of depth and luxury, it also means that whether you use this piece as either a drink's or display cabinet your favourite pieces can be seen at all angles. The result, a true statement piece that will enhance any room of the house!
