Kofod Larsen for G-Plan Teak Mid Century Extending Dining Table

  
A beautifully designed & crafted teak extending dining table designed by Kofod Larsen for G-Plan in the 1960s. The table has a distinct Danish appearance with beautifully shaped legs and swooping contours. This model is extremely popular due to the fact that it can be extended to seat 8-0 people, it features two extension leaves that can be used together or individually making it a very versatile dining table.

The table extends quickly and easily by simply pulling out the extension slides which are hidden at each end of the table, the extension leaf is then slotted into place. When not in use the extension leaves store neatly away underneath the table. Has the gold Kofod larsen/Danish Design stamp to the underside of one of the extension leaves.

G Plan's Danish Range was aimed at the top end of the market and reflects the essence of Scandinavian modernism during the 1960s. These pieces are rare, as they were significantly more expensive at the time than other G-Plan furniture.

The main table top is in need of some sanding and polish to bring up to the same lustre as the leaves. Please see photographs for more detail.
